The children under the age of eight have been banned in South Africa from Zimbabwe.  They were stopped by border control authorities.

Dr Michael Masiapato of the MBA Commission says the department will extend working hours to ensure safe cross-border travel during the festivities

“we had an agreement with our immediate neighbours, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, and Botswana, during the planning phase, on harmonizing activities with alternative working hours.  The minister of home affairs has accepted our offer to extend the operating hours of the identified key ports by specified agreed dates without the support of neighboring countries.”  Masiapato said.

Starting on Wednesday the 6th december, the main aim of the BMA will be to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
