A young man has been arrested by police after he stabbed and killed his girlfriend
A 26-year-old man has been arrested after he killed his 17-year-old girlfriend in Bothashoek village just outside Burgersfort town.
According to reports, the aunt of the deceased, called the police at 6am and alerted them to the tragic incident.
After the policeman arrived at the scene, they were welcomed by the deceased's grandmother, who immediately pointed out the body of her granddaughter , who was in a pool of blood. It is understood that the deceased was stabbed with a sharp weapon several times before her neck was cut off.
The young man was found in a hiding place, and arrested. He will appear before the Praktiseer court on a charge of murder.
