Lives were forever changed today, when recipients Catherine Dineo Sithole and Harold Ntsoto of Johannesburg North were given access to their newly built homes.

An end to hard times, and the promise of fresh beginnings are the best way that this year could end for them both.

ITHUBA.  Changing lives one family at a time.

ITHUBA was back on the road yesterday, this time meeting the hopeful new home owners in the Northern suburbs of Gauteng.

Single mom Catherine Dineo Sithole has been struggling with secure housing for many years, battling difficult landlords due to being partially-sighted. Sithole eventually had to move in with family, feeling unsafe as a tenant. Speaking with a smile, she is happy that now her children will have a place to call home.

Harold Ntsoto is a paraplegic who lost his wife 20 years ago, and has struggled to look after himself ever since. Living with his son for several years, Ntsoto is visibly relieved, saying that in his situation having his own bathroom and good security is crucial.

An end to hard times, and the promise of fresh beginnings are the best way that this year could end for them both.
