A 22-year-old man appeared in court yesterday on charges of murdering his grandfather
Siyabonga Sanderson appeared in court in KaBhokweni, Mpumalanga yesterday morning. He is charged with killing his grandfather, Albert Sanderson, 75, and then burying his body in his backyard.
Albert's body was exhumed by a Police Officer in Swalala village just outside Whiteriver.
Siyabonga told the court that he does not want bail, and does not need a lawyer, he will represent himself in the case he faces in court.
According to the police, Siyabonga said he beat his grandfather to death. This comes after his grandfather tried to rebuke him for bringing various girls into his house.
