A man has been arrested for driving a stolen vehicle by Polokwane police
A 39-year-old man linked to a carjacking ring has appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate's Court.
A male suspect has been caught driving an allegedly hijacked Toyota Prado in Randfontein, Gauteng towards Polokwane.
He was intercepted on the N1 South near a shell garage in Westenburg.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the hijacked vehicle was on a clandestine route to Zimbabwe via the Beitbrige border post.
The suspect is said to already be facing a similar charge after he was recently caught trying to smuggle a stolen vehicle into Mozambique through the Lembobo border post.
The suspect faces charges of possession of a presumed stolen vehicle and possession of forged documents.
