A suspect linked to the ATM bombings has allegedly been arrested, stained bank notes recovered
Gauteng police conducted a crime detective-led operation in Thembisa where they arrested a suspect in possession of spotted bank notes and prohibited chemicals.
According to the report a team comprising members from Crime Intelligence Aggravated Robberies, SAPS Thembisa, EMPD STT, FNB PTCM, Vusela Covert Intel, and Blue Hawks Tactical Unit ambushed the suspect and ransacked his premises . They found stained banknotes and large quantities of banned chemicals. The 56-year-old will appear in court soon.
