Four learners at Mophamamona primary school, at Ga-mochemi just outside Senwabarwana were sent to Helen Franz Hospital after eating simba chips, biscuits and candy sticks

It is understood that four pupils from Mophamamona primary school became ill after eating simba chips, biscuits and lollipops bought from one of the vendors at the school. The learners were rushed to Helen Franz Hospital in Senwabarwana for treatment.  Pills were found inside the simba chips.  Even the lollipops had the same pills.

The learners are warned to stop buying simba chips, candy sticks and biscuits from Somali shops. Because they put children's lives at great risk. Parents are warned to stop buying snacks for their children from Somali shops as well . All Somalian shops sells expired food items, which is a poison itself.

" If we agreed as a community we should have gone to the makula shops and taken out those simba chips and biscuits  and burned them for the sake of our children's health," said one of the Mochemi residents.
