Police are seeking help from the public regarding the tragic incident of rape of two innocent young girls.

This allegedly came after two teenage girls disappeared from their homes in the Vosman Policing Precinct near Witbank. Vosman residents are still shocked by the brutal incident.

One report says their parents couldn't find them where they used to play. They reported the matter to the police and opened a Missing Person file for investigative purposes.

A search party for the victims campaigned for them, however without success.

Information was passed from Phola Police Station, indicating that the victims were found but unfortunately, both were raped.

Out of this sinister act, the Police Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offenses (FCS) Unit was assigned to investigate this horrific incident.

It is therefore requested that the public come forward with valuable information that can share light on this investigation.

Anyone willing to volunteer tangible assistance, is kindly requested to contact Sergeant Zinhle Mathenjwa from the FCS Unit on 072 792 0691. Members of the public can also call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or send  information on MYSAPSAPP.  All information received will be treated as confidential and callers may choose to remain anonymous.

Meanwhile, SAPS Provincial Commissioner in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela strongly condemned the incident and vowed that the Police would work tirelessly to ensure the perpetrators of heinous crimes are hunted down and brought to justice  swiftly so that justice can be served for the victims.
