Police are searching for a Chinese man who was abducted by two men
Police are investigating the kidnapping case and are appealing to anyone who can help trace Mr Xiao to contact SAPS Uitenhage, Detective Sergeant Ricardo January on 072 217 5772 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station. SAPS Uitenhage detectives are asking for the public’s help in the search for a 43-year-old man from China who was abducted outside his workplace early yesterday evening.
It is alleged that at about 17:40, Lu Xiao, drove from his workplace at the Uitenhage shopping center even as he stopped his white VW Crafter minibus in order to close the gate at after him. It was then that two unidentified men attacked him and forced him into a white Isuzu double cab bakkie and drove away. His car was also driven by another suspect.
The motive for the kidnapping is unclear at this time. The police investigation is ongoing.
