Sibonelo "Pastor" Mtshali will honour and recognise the hard work and innovative events carried out by Lawley's young people in 2023.

This will be the first awards ceremony of its kind to be held in Lawley 2, and it will be called the Sihle Mtshali Awards.

The ceremony will take place on May 11 at Lawley Primary School. The goal of this ceremony is to inspire young people to continue developing their talent based on what they have in front of them.

Sibonelo stated that in the community, some young people have given up on life due to a lack of opportunities.

"Those who make things happen with their talent deserve to be respected because they do not let their circumstances define their future. We don't need to go looking for work, but with the talent we have, we can transform our community into a regional economic hub," said Sibonelo.

The people who will be honoured include event hosts, DJs, entrepreneurs, dancers, podcasters, MCs, footballers, and others.

"We have about 12 categories with nominees of five for each and the winner will be decided by the voting system," he said.

To ensure fairness and integration, an independent company has been hired to facilitate the voting process.

For partnership or other information, please contact Sibonelo Mtshali at 084 404 2236.
