The old man needs a house in Ga-Maponto, at Senwabarwana
Alfred Raphadu from Ga-Maponto outside Senwabarwana is said to be a lonely resident in a dilapidated shack. Raphadu has been living in the shack since last year. He said, he suffers a lot during the rainy season and when it is cold. Raphadu says he feels insecure as crime has gained momentum.
Democratic Alliance councilor Calvin Matjee and a senior party member at the provincial level have volunteered to help him, building him a self-sufficient home.
The old man says he has no partner because the women he once married have left him alone with children, and his relatives are also living their lives away from him.
