Suspects arrested for tempering with essential infrastructure in Florida park, ROODEPOORT
It is alleged:
SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR TAMPERING WITH ESSENTIAL INFRASTRUCTURE IN FLORIDA PARK, ROODEPOORT.
On Thursday, 21 March 2024, an officer from the Infrastructure Protection Unit of the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) was notified about a suspect caught digging up the traffic light cables at the intersection of Barry Hertzog Drive and The Highway Street in Florida Park.
The officer immediately responded to the scene and found a male who had a 13-spanner, LM key, bolts and nuts, a cutting disc, a steel saw, and pliers.
The 49-year-old male suspect was immediately arrested and detained at the Florida SAPS. He has been charged with tampering with essential infrastructure and he is due to appear in court soon.
